Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 16, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how exportAnything LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with:

  • The ExportGPT browser extension.
  • The websites exportgpt.org and exportanything.org.

This document is provided for informational purposes only and is not legal advice. You should consult with a qualified attorney to confirm that this policy meets any applicable legal or regulatory requirements for your jurisdiction and use case.

Who we are

ExportGPT is developed and maintained by exportAnything LLC, a U.S.-based company headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

What this policy covers

This policy describes, at a high level:

  • What information we collect.
  • How that information is used.
  • How we store and protect it.
  • Your choices and how to contact us.

How the ExportGPT extension handles your data

The ExportGPT extension is designed to be local-first. Its primary purpose is to read content from pages you visit on supported domains (such as ChatGPT and Sora), transform that content into export formats (e.g., PDF, Markdown, HTML, JSON, ZIP archives), and hand those files off to your browser’s download manager.

Local processing

By default, the extension processes page content within your browser. Generated files are then downloaded directly to your device. Under typical use:

  • We do not receive copies of your conversations, media, or exported files.
  • We do not use the extension to track your browsing history across other sites.
  • We do not sell or rent any user data.

What the extension can access

Depending on your browser’s permission model, ExportGPT may receive the ability to read content on specific sites (for example, ChatGPT or Sora domains) in order to generate export files. This may include:

  • Text content from chat conversations or Sora share pages.
  • Media references such as images, videos, and audio associated with those pages.

This access is used solely to build the export files you request (for example, when you click an export button in the dock).

Optional utilities and helper tools

If you choose to use optional helper utilities (for example, scripts to re-encode media for compatibility), these tools may run on your local machine. Any input or output handled by those utilities remains under your control on your device.
